Out-of-the-Box From the Beginning
- 2018 – Yoo Health Direct Health is founded by Lexi Yoo, NP, to give central Indiana patients more than what traditional medicine offers.
- 2020 – Yoo Direct Health incorporates aesthetics services into its functional health medical practice.
- 2022 – The Integrative Residency Program (IRP) launches to teach practitioners about core functional and aesthetic medical solutions.

You can achieve amazing results with just blood work, clinical history taking, and assessment. If a practice claims you need at least $5K to get in the door, look elsewhere!
Your basic blood work panel can be covered by insurance if your provider has an NPI, and if your insurance allows for out-of-network ordering. We often utilize insurance for mammograms, blood work, and even pap testing. Additionally, we offer fantastic self-pay discounts that make it very affordable for patients.
The goal is to guide you through a protocol tailored to your needs, eradicating and balancing whatever we’re addressing, and then gradually discontinuing it.
There is no such thing as a “doctorate” in functional medicine. Unfortunately, there are many instances of professionals misrepresenting themselves. When seeking a practitioner in functional medicine, ask about their training, certifications, and continuing education. Inquire about any publications, lectures, or presentations they’ve made on relevant topics.
Functional medicine can complement conventional medicine but should not be considered a complete replacement. We like to think of functional medicine as a great way to be proactive with your health, and instead of labeling what you have, figure out why you have it!
